Introduction
Crypto prices has risen significantly in the past 2 months so I decided to do a follow up post. This is based on a previous post of mine titled Bitcoin return on investment : 2 years. I suggest you read that one first to get a better understanding of what is to come but it is not required. This time I would like to look at how an investment would have performed for several cryptocurrencies. As you can tell be the title, we are gonna look at a 2 year period again.........Well technically the period is for 25 months. The data ranges from 19 December 2018 to 20 December 2020.

Invest twenty dollars (USD) a month in 7 different coins
We will also implement the same methodology of "stacking sats"(although that term is only applicable for bitcoin).
Also USD20 (+- NAD290 depending when you look) will still be used for a monthly investment
The analysis
I retrieved the data from coingeko.
We will still go with the four scenarios, which were the monthly minimum; monthly mean; monthly median; and the monthly maximum.
The coins
I chose 7 coins. Bitcoin(btc), ethereum(eth), ripple(xrp), tron(trx), dogecoin(doge), monero(xmr) and cardano(ada). Some of them I am holding, others I have sold after I got more education. I tried running a full node for monero once but it only managed to download about 70% of the blockchain....so I gave up. Quitter!!

Conclusion
The coin showing the lowest median ROI is tron with 59%. If you think 59% is low, try finding out how much interest your bank is willing to pay you for a fixed deposit or other investment vehicle. The best performer is ethereum(226%) with bitcoin(219%) at the number 2 spot. Like I said earlier, this is NOT financial advice. I am merely providing you with the analytics.
